About

Nepal Institute of Peace

Nepal Institute of Peace is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in 2002 at the District Administrative Office, Lalitpur and has been affiliated with Social Welfare Council since. It is managed by energetic professionals who have sound academic and professional experiences in human rights and migration issues. NIP emphasizes the voices and issues of vulnerable groups. Its experiences cover a broad range of issues including IDPs issues, refugee, forced migration, cross-border migration, conflict management, advocacy, human rights protection and promotion, and policy analysis.

NIP focuses on sensitizing, capacity building and participation in national development process without hatred and conflict. The crisis of good governance, partiality on access in government service delivery system, feelings of suppression from others, awareness of self- identity and interest on holding share on local resources are some examples of causes of social conflict in Nepal.
